5 Ways to Protect Yourself on the Internet

1
Paranoia pays off- don’t trust anything or anyone, things can be spoofed to make them look real.
2
Don’t use Internet Explorer- it’s the most popular internet browser, which means it’s the target for most data thieves.
3
Use an anonymizer- you can mask your computer’s  IP address, which allows you to browse without the sites you visit knowing who you are.
4
Don’t use Google- you can’t always tell when you’re on a site or service with ties to the company’s enormous data stores.
5
Use a temporary credit card if you are going to be making a lot of purchases online. Get a temporary card number.
