Public Vs. Private

Public:       

*    Cost a lot less than private colleges

*    Harder to get into because it attracts a larger number of applicants

*    Requires applicants to apply a year before they intend to enroll

*    Tend to enroll more students than private colleges

Private:

*     Much more expensive than public

*     Smaller class size which means a smaller student to teacher ratio

*     More close knit socially

*     Smaller student body size
